Summary -

Fast paced drinking game with cards that accelerates in pace as it goes on.

Equipment -
  • Beer
  • Table everyone can sit at
  • Deck of Playing Cards
Set up -

There are basic rules to the game that apply to each hand that gets dealt:
  • The player that is dealt the lowest card must take a sip.
  • Players that get dealt matching cards must drink.
  • Drinks are cumulative. IE - if two players get dealt a three, and this also happens to be the lowest card they must each drink twice.
  • If jokers are included in the deck, this counts as a community card so everyone must drink.
  • Aces are high.
Game Play -

Pick one person to be the first dealer. This dealer deals one card face up to each player and players refer to the initial rules to see who must drink. Continue dealing to the players until the deck has run out. At this point, the deck is collected and passed to the left. The new dealer says "What time is it?", players respond "Rule time!". The new dealer now makes up a rule that will remain for the rest of the game. Rules can consist of anything,..but rules that involve more drinking tend to result in intense intoxication and fun. The new dealer does exactly as the first dealer until the deck runs out and is then collected and passed to his/her left. This repeats until the deck has returned to the original dealer and everyone has made a rule. The game is finished when the deck arrives back at the original dealer, he/she makes a rule and deals the deck one last time.

When we tried this game out we also found things can start getting ridiculous if you keep all the rules going through multiple rounds around the table. The more the rules stack up the more chances there are for people to drink. Eventually everyone was just too intoxicated to keep playing!

Really sounds like war drinking game. why not pass the cards out facedown and everybody flip over one card. that way everyone has cards and being deal wouldn't suck.

A great rule to put down is, "Everytime someone swears they have to drink!" or if your a little more risky "Everytime a person swears they remove an item of clothing!" It's hard to keep your mouth shut after a few drinks!
